GODS OF THE DARK WEB by Lucas Mangum
Release Date: February 22, 2018 (AVAILABLE NOW! in paperback and ebook)
Please join us in welcoming Lucas Mangum to the Deadite Press family! Not only am I thrilled to introduce new readers to his talent, but I am in love with this book because it explores territory that isn’t commonly addressed in horror: the dark side of the internet. Mangum’s work fearlessly and brutally delves into the depths of violence, crime, and depravity that exist on the internet, just below the surface, on what’s known as The Dark Web. This story is smart, modern, and utterly disturbing. Early reviewers have compared this work to that of Wrath James White, Edward Lee and David Cronenberg. This book takes you on a completely original ride through the horrors of the web and how easy it is for people to get sucked its dark corners.
To learn more about this book and the author, check out the recent interview I did with Lucas Mangum on my podcast Jeff Attacks!
From the back cover:
From the author of ENGINES OF RUIN, comes a dark suspenseful novel for fans of Black Mirror, Edward Lee and cosmic horror.
The internet is a scary place. Beneath Facebook and Twitter is another world. One in which anything can be obtained—for a price. A community of black markets, depraved pornography, and death. This is the dark web.
Leon was just curious, he heard the stories of the secrets and forbidden fetishes that the dark web offered. He was an activist, protesting against war and hate. But after a protest became violent, he felt he needed protection. Being a teenager with no way to buy a gun legally, he had no choice but to turn to the dark web.
This rash decision sends Leon spiraling down into a dark side of humanity that most don’t know, or even want to know, exists. A world of murder, torture, and cannibalism. But behind all that there is something worse, something stalking him and intent on ruining every aspect of his life. Now Leon is fighting for his life and reputation as he is being hunted by vile and arcane forces. They are…

MONSTERS AND ANIMALS by J.F. Gonzalez and Wrath James White
Release Date: March 8, 2018 (AVAILABLE NOW! in paperback and ebook)
The death of J.F. Gonzalez in 2014 was a devastating shock to the horror community. Gonzalez influenced an entire generation of horror fans and was the author of one of my all-time favorite works of extreme horror, SURVIVOR. Working with J.F. Gonzalez and securing the rights to re-release SURVIVOR on Deadite Press in 2011 was a personal career highlight for me. Which makes releasing this collection of two novellas and two short stories that take place in the SURVIVOR universe bittersweet. One of the novellas Gonzalez was unable to finish before his passing and Deadite Press fan-favorite and extreme horror legend Wrath James White stepped in to finish the job. The final product is twisted, sick, and just plain fucked-up. I know Gonzalez would have been proud.
From the back cover:
MONSTERS – In one family’s home, there is a section of the basement locked-up. After their mother doesn’t come home and their drunk dad refuses to contact the authorities, the kids take it upon themselves to uncover their family’s secrets. What they find is more disturbing than they ever could have imagined.
ANIMALS – In New York City, there is an underground S&M scene where any decadent and depraved pleasure can be had for a price. When a young man gets caught up in the scene and disappears, his friends go in search. But their path will lead them to the darkest pits of human desire.
MONSTERS and ANIMALS are two novella-length prequels to the cult favorite hardcore horror masterpiece SURVIVOR. This edition also includes two more bonus stories, “Shooting Schedule” and “Mabel’s Recipes,” that further explore the world of SURVIVOR and an introduction from Brian Keene.

RING OF FIRE by David Agranoff
Release Date: June 15, 2018
I love David Agranoff’s work. He’s completely unafraid to approach genre fiction with a political and social agenda. Whether it be radical veganism (THE VEGAN REVOLUTION WITH ZOMBIES) or punks vs nazis (BOOT BOYS OF THE WOLF REICH) Agranoff’s work is personal, insightful and expands one’s perspective on the relationship between horror fiction and activism. In RING OF FIRE, Agranoff tackles an ecological catastrophe. In 2017 the west coast was overrun with abnormal wildfires and every major West Coast city spent some time smothered in smoke. It’s these visions of too-real destruction that fuel a book that is equal parts environmental horror and disaster porn (think Skipp & Spector’s THE BRIDGE meets the movie SAN ANDREAS). Agranoff’s work is intense, brutal, and comes with a purpose.
From the back cover:
From the celebrated author of the socially conscious horror novels THE VEGAN REVOLUTION…WITH ZOMBIES and BOOT BOYS OF THE WOLF REICH, David Agranoff, comes a grim tale of eco-horror.
Mother Nature is angry. Really angry.
San Diego is known for being one of the most beautiful cities in America. But now the city is surrounded by wildfires raging out of control, the water supply is contaminated, and people are inexplicably turning feral. For the thousands of people stuck, the city has turned into a death trap.
Humans have ravaged the planet for too long, now the Mother Nature is going to get her revenge.

NO GIG IS TOO SMALL by Andre Duza
Release Date: August 15, 2018
If you are anything like me, you might think you are tired of zombie stories. But Andre Duza will cause you to think again! Duza keeps writing insanely original books in a subgenre where many mistakenly think everything has already been done. In his last brilliant work, WZMB, Duza explored the socio-economic rebuilding of humanity after the zombie apocalypse. In his newest, NO GIG IS TOO SMALL, he tells the story of the first metal band to go on tour after the undead have overtaken the earth. Told in the format of a documentary produced to capture this landmark achievement, a hopeful glimmer of humanity recovering after the end of the world, this is a shockingly original story in a genre that every fan claims is dead and overdone.
From the back cover:
From Andre Duza, celebrated author of Dead Bitch Army and WZMB, comes a groundbreaking horror novel told as a transcript of a rockumentary about the first band to go on tour after the zombie apocalypse.
The rock band, Serpentine, had been through a lot of shit. But then, so had the entire world after the dead rose and began consuming the living. They went from selling out stadiums to scavenging for food, shelter, and supplies. Their motto, “No gig is too small,” used to mean they would perform anywhere. Now it has come to mean they will survive anything.
But even after the apocalypse, they can’t escape their biggest fan–an undead groupie, dressed in a Serpentine t-shirt, that seems to be following them across the country.
Even if the world has ended, you gotta go on. Across America, small communities of survivors are rebuilding and trying to recreate the world that was lost. After making contact with one, Serpentine travels there to do what they were born to do–play a goddamn rock-and-fucking-roll show!
But the venue isn’t interested in only putting on a kick-ass show. The people there have been experimenting with the undead and Serpentine’s music could hold a key to moving forward in a world dominated by the walking dead.

CRISIS BOY by Garrett Cook
Release Date: October 15, 2018
Garrett Cook is a Wonderland Book Award-winning author whose work combines the grotesque and surreal with literary prose. While he’s no stranger to offensive and extreme topics, his newest novel pushes the boundaries far beyond what he has done in the past as he tackles the topics of mass shootings, terrorism, and conspiracy theories. Deadite Press is known for publishing some of the most extreme books in the horror genre, but this may be the one that crosses the line for some people. This book takes the worst aspects of our real world for inspiration to tell a story that is horrifying and shocking in ways that are unlike anything else Deadite has ever released.
From the back cover:
From the Wonderland Book Award-winning twisted mind behind A God of Hungry Walls, Garrett Cook, comes the most offensive and inappropriate book yet released by the leading publisher of extreme horror, Deadite Press.
The news is a lie. The conspiracies are real. We all see the constant reports of mass shootings in the United States. Footage of death and panic and random citizens being massacred by terrorists or crazies. But what the viewers at home don’t see are the agendas these attacks are pushing or that those “victims” are trained actors paid to be a part of the scene. They are “crisis actors.”
John is a “Crisis Boy,” created by the secret organizations that really pull the strings behind the scenes of government and economics. He was created to be shot, stabbed, and blown-up and yet recover as no human should be able. He is used to staging massacres, assassinations, and create the kind of terror that will allow the powers that be to control the public and the world.
But on his latest assignment, John’s programming begins to break down. He begins to question his role in this massive manipulation of society. All because he’s met someone kind—a girl. Someone that he knows is supposed to die, but he’s going to do everything he can to prevent it.
Crisis Boy is an extreme horror novel of conspiracies, secret societies, and of how love and kindness can fuck-up the best-laid plans.
“One of the coolest book concepts I’ve heard in years. When you read Garrett Cook, you never quite know what kind of madness you’re going to get.” —Carlton Mellick III
