Hello from Deadite Press, this is head editor Jeff Burk. 2018 is a big year for us! We have some exciting new offerings from some of your favorite extreme horror writers and some really cool new authors to introduce you to as well! This year we will be looking to the future of the horror genre while also paying tribute to what has come before. Read on to discover what’s new and forthcoming from Deadite Press and learn why I am excited for you to read these books!
Please join us in welcoming Lucas Mangum to the Deadite Press family! Not only am I thrilled to introduce new readers to his talent, but I am in love with this book because it explores territory that isn’t commonly addressed in horror: the dark side of the internet. Mangum’s work fearlessly and brutally delves into the depths of violence, crime, and depravity that exist on the internet, just below the surface, on what’s known as The Dark Web. This story is smart, modern, and utterly disturbing. Early reviewers have compared this work to that of Wrath James White, Edward Lee and David Cronenberg. This book takes you on a completely original ride through the horrors of the web and how easy it is for people to get sucked its dark corners.
From the back cover:
From the author of ENGINES OF RUIN, comes a dark suspenseful novel for fans of Black Mirror, Edward Lee and cosmic horror.
The internet is a scary place. Beneath Facebook and Twitter is another world. One in which anything can be obtained—for a price. A community of black markets, depraved pornography, and death. This is the dark web.
Leon was just curious, he heard the stories of the secrets and forbidden fetishes that the dark web offered. He was an activist, protesting against war and hate. But after a protest became violent, he felt he needed protection. Being a teenager with no way to buy a gun legally, he had no choice but to turn to the dark web.
This rash decision sends Leon spiraling down into a dark side of humanity that most don’t know, or even want to know, exists. A world of murder, torture, and cannibalism. But behind all that there is something worse, something stalking him and intent on ruining every aspect of his life. Now Leon is fighting for his life and reputation as he is being hunted by vile and arcane forces. They are…
Gods of the Dark Web
The death of J.F. Gonzalez in 2014 was a devastating shock to the horror community. Gonzalez influenced an entire generation of horror fans and was the author of one of my all-time favorite works of extreme horror, SURVIVOR. Working with J.F. Gonzalez and securing the rights to re-release SURVIVOR on Deadite Press in 2011 was a personal career highlight for me. Which makes releasing this collection of two novellas and two short stories that take place in the SURVIVOR universe bittersweet. One of the novellas Gonzalez was unable to finish before his passing and Deadite Press fan-favorite and extreme horror legend Wrath James White stepped in to finish the job. The final product is twisted, sick, and just plain fucked-up. I know Gonzalez would have been proud.
From the back cover:
MONSTERS – In one family’s home, there is a section of the basement locked-up. After their mother doesn’t come home and their drunk dad refuses to contact the authorities, the kids take it upon themselves to uncover their family’s secrets. What they find is more disturbing than they ever could have imagined.
ANIMALS – In New York City, there is an underground S&M scene where any decadent and depraved pleasure can be had for a price. When a young man gets caught up in the scene and disappears, his friends go in search. But their path will lead them to the darkest pits of human desire.
MONSTERS and ANIMALS are two novella-length prequels to the cult favorite hardcore horror masterpiece SURVIVOR. This edition also includes two more bonus stories, “Shooting Schedule” and “Mabel’s Recipes,” that further explore the world of SURVIVOR and an introduction from Brian Keene.

RING OF FIRE by David Agranoff
Release Date: June 15, 2018
I love David Agranoff’s work. He’s completely unafraid to approach genre fiction with a political and social agenda. Whether it be radical veganism (THE VEGAN REVOLUTION WITH ZOMBIES) or punks vs nazis (BOOT BOYS OF THE WOLF REICH) Agranoff’s work is personal, insightful and expands one’s perspective on the relationship between horror fiction and activism. In RING OF FIRE, Agranoff tackles an ecological catastrophe. In 2017 the west coast was overrun with abnormal wildfires and every major West Coast city spent some time smothered in smoke. It’s these visions of too-real destruction that fuel a book that is equal parts environmental horror and disaster porn (think Skipp & Spector’s THE BRIDGE meets the movie SAN ANDREAS). Agranoff’s work is intense, brutal, and comes with a purpose.
From the back cover:
From the celebrated author of the socially conscious horror novels THE VEGAN REVOLUTION…WITH ZOMBIES and BOOT BOYS OF THE WOLF REICH, David Agranoff, comes a grim tale of eco-horror.
Mother Nature is angry. Really angry.
San Diego is known for being one of the most beautiful cities in America. But now the city is surrounded by wildfires raging out of control, the water supply is contaminated, and people are inexplicably turning feral. For the thousands of people stuck, the city has turned into a death trap.
Humans have ravaged the planet for too long, now the Mother Nature is going to get her revenge.
NO GIG IS TOO SMALL by Andre Duza
Release Date: August 15, 2018
If you are anything like me, you might think you are tired of zombie stories. But Andre Duza will cause you to think again! Duza keeps writing insanely original books in a subgenre where many mistakenly think everything has already been done. In his last brilliant work, WZMB, Duza explored the socio-economic rebuilding of humanity after the zombie apocalypse. In his newest, NO GIG IS TOO SMALL, he tells the story of the first metal band to go on tour after the undead have overtaken the earth. Told in the format of a documentary produced to capture this landmark achievement, a hopeful glimmer of humanity recovering after the end of the world, this is a shockingly original story in a genre that every fan claims is dead and overdone.
From the back cover:
From Andre Duza, celebrated author of Dead Bitch Army and WZMB, comes a groundbreaking horror novel told as a transcript of a rockumentary about the first band to go on tour after the zombie apocalypse.
The rock band, Serpentine, had been through a lot of shit. But then, so had the entire world after the dead rose and began consuming the living. They went from selling out stadiums to scavenging for food, shelter, and supplies. Their motto, “No gig is too small,” used to mean they would perform anywhere. Now it has come to mean they will survive anything.
But even after the apocalypse, they can’t escape their biggest fan–an undead groupie, dressed in a Serpentine t-shirt, that seems to be following them across the country.
Even if the world has ended, you gotta go on. Across America, small communities of survivors are rebuilding and trying to recreate the world that was lost. After making contact with one, Serpentine travels there to do what they were born to do–play a goddamn rock-and-fucking-roll show!
But the venue isn’t interested in only putting on a kick-ass show. The people there have been experimenting with the undead and Serpentine’s music could hold a key to moving forward in a world dominated by the walking dead.
CRISIS BOY by Garrett Cook
Release Date: October 15, 2018
Garrett Cook is a Wonderland Book Award-winning author whose work combines the grotesque and surreal with literary prose. While he’s no stranger to offensive and extreme topics, his newest novel pushes the boundaries far beyond what he has done in the past as he tackles the topics of mass shootings, terrorism, and conspiracy theories. Deadite Press is known for publishing some of the most extreme books in the horror genre, but this may be the one that crosses the line for some people. This book takes the worst aspects of our real world for inspiration to tell a story that is horrifying and shocking in ways that are unlike anything else Deadite has ever released.
From the back cover:
From the Wonderland Book Award-winning twisted mind behind A God of Hungry Walls, Garrett Cook, comes the most offensive and inappropriate book yet released by the leading publisher of extreme horror, Deadite Press.
The news is a lie. The conspiracies are real. We all see the constant reports of mass shootings in the United States. Footage of death and panic and random citizens being massacred by terrorists or crazies. But what the viewers at home don’t see are the agendas these attacks are pushing or that those “victims” are trained actors paid to be a part of the scene. They are “crisis actors.”
John is a “Crisis Boy,” created by the secret organizations that really pull the strings behind the scenes of government and economics. He was created to be shot, stabbed, and blown-up and yet recover as no human should be able. He is used to staging massacres, assassinations, and create the kind of terror that will allow the powers that be to control the public and the world.
But on his latest assignment, John’s programming begins to break down. He begins to question his role in this massive manipulation of society. All because he’s met someone kind—a girl. Someone that he knows is supposed to die, but he’s going to do everything he can to prevent it.
Crisis Boy is an extreme horror novel of conspiracies, secret societies, and of how love and kindness can fuck-up the best-laid plans.
“One of the coolest book concepts I’ve heard in years. When you read Garrett Cook, you never quite know what kind of madness you’re going to get.” —Carlton Mellick III

If you’re a teenage metal head The Southern Illinois Music Reeducation Center is not the place you want to go. The center specializes in “de-metaling” – a treatment to cure teens of their metal loving, devil worshiping ways. A program that subjects its prisoners to sexual abuse, torture, and brain-washing. Rock and Roll Reform School Zombies is Bryan Smith’s tribute to Return of the Living Dead and The Decline of Western Civilization Part 2: the Metal Years
Twenty people wake to find themselves in a boarded-up building in the middle of the zombie wasteland. They soon realize they have been chosen as contestants on a popular reality show called Zombie Survival. Each contestant is given a backpack of supplies and a unique weapon. Their goal: be the first to make it through the zombie-plagued city to the pick-up zone alive. But because there’s only one seat available on the helicopter, the contestants not only have to fight off the hordes of the living dead, they must also fight each other.
Zombies and Shit is Mellick’s craziest book to date. A campy, trashy, punk rock gore fest that is as funny as it is brutal, as sad as it is strange. An edge-of-your-seat thrill ride that twists the zombie genre into something you’ve never seen before.
Featuring an introduction from Brian Keene

There’s just one catch.
It has to be a pornographic story . . .

It’s prom night in the Demented States of America. A place where schools are built with secret passageways, rebellious teens get zippers installed in their mouths and genitals, and once a year, on that special night, one couple is slaughtered and the bits of their bodies are kept as souvenirs. But something’s gone terribly wrong at Corundum High, where the secret killer is claiming a far higher body count than usual . . .
Slaughterhouse High is Robert Devereaux’s slicing satire of sex, death, and public education.

“His fiction is vicious and violent. I love it.” – Ellen Datlow
“Devereaux shocks me, delights me, and turns me on…His eroticism is at once lyrical and visceral, his violence poetic, his style and subject matter daring to the point of danger.” – Poppy Z. Brite
In July, 1939, antiquarian and H.P. Lovecraft aficionado, Foster Morley, takes a scenic bus tour through the wilds of northern Massachusetts. He wants to go where Lovecraft went, and to see what Lovecraft saw, to further distill his understanding of history’s most impacting horror fantasist. When he happens upon the curious, secluded waterfront prefect known as Innswich Point-not to be found on any map-he assumes the curiosity of the name is mere coincidence, but in less than twenty-four hours he’ll learn that he couldn’t be more mistaken.
Deeper and deeper, then, Morley delves into the queer town’s dark mystique. Has his imagination run rampant, or are there far too many similarities between this furtive fishing village and the fictional town of Lovecraft’s masterpiece, The Shadow Over Innsmouth? Could it be possible that Lovecraft himself actually visited this town before his death in 1937?
Join splatter king Edward Lee for a private tour of Innswich Point – a town founded on perversion, torture, and abominations from the sea.

“The living legend of literary mayhem. Read him if you dare!” – Richard Laymon, author of The Island and The Cellar
“Edward Lee’s writing is fast and mean as a chain saw revved to full-tilt boogie.” – Jack Ketchum, author of Off Season
“Lee pulls no punches.” – Fangoria
“The hardest of the hardcore horror writers.” – Cemetery Dance
Apeshit is Mellick’s love letter to the great and terrible B-horror movie genre. Six trendy teenagers (three cheerleaders and three football players) go to an isolated cabin in the mountains for a weekend of drinking, partying, and crazy sex, only to find themselves in the middle of a life and death struggle against a horribly mutated psychotic freak that just won’t stay dead.
Mellick parodies this horror cliché and twists it into something deeper and stranger. It is the literary equivalent of a grindhouse film. It is a splatterpunk’s wet dream. It is perhaps one of the most fucked up books ever written. If you are a fan of Takashi Miike, Evil Dead, or Eurotrash horror, you must read this book.
“The new gold standard in unstoppable fetus-fucking killfreakomania, Mellick’s APESHIT both earns and transcends its awesome title. Genuine all-meat hardcore horror meets unadulterated Bizarro brainwarp strangeness. The results are beyond jaw-dropping, and fill me with pure, unforgivable joy.”
— JOHN SKIPP, New York Times Bestselling author and splatterpunk superstar
“An electrifying read, Apeshit successfully combines an exciting, blood-splattering slasher story with unexpected social commentary.”
— THE DREAM PEOPLE
“With undead necrophilia, monster-rape sodomy, abortion porn, more spilled guts than your average Fulci film, and so many more grotesqueries you’d need a notebook to remember them all, APESHIT just may be the extreme gorehound’s dream come true.” — THE HORROR FICTION REVIEW
“Apeshit begins with a typical dead teenager setup. Three cheerleaders and three football players head out to a cabin in the woods. Yawn. But, this is a Carlton Mellick book. Each of the characters is funny and scary in their own way, a far cry from the cannon fodder Freddy and Jason types usually encounter. There’s Desdemona the punk cheerleader who wants to cover herself completely with tattoos, her former best friend Crystal who has an extremely disturbing fetish, dysfunctional Stephanie with her vagina dentata and horrible past and Rick and Kevin who are both with Desdemona, but would rather be with one another. The six are pitted against a horrific urban legend with crab claws and a particularly hideous mutation, and from there it all goes…well, look at the title. Gorehounds who like the scatology of South Park, the weirdness of Peter Jackson gore flicks and the confrontational brutality of Last House on the Left will all relish this loving homage to a genre that once looked this sick and exciting to Americans.”
— DOC FAUSTUS

Brace yourself, the king of splatterspunk is guaranteed to shock, offend, and make you laugh until you vomit. The Salt-Diviner – A touching story of one couple and the quadriplegic, homeless fortune teller locked in their basement.
The Refrigerator Full of Sperm – Why are all the men of Luntville falling into comas with their pants down and dicks up?
“The living legend of literary mayhem. Read him if you dare!” – Richard Laymon, author of Island and The Cellar
“Edward Lee’s writing is fast and mean as a chain saw revved to full-tilt boogie.” – Jack Ketchum, author of Off Season and The Girl Next Door
“Lee pulls no punches.” – Fangoria

America post apocalypse…a toxic wasteland populated by bloodthristy scavengers, mutated animals, and roving bands of organized militias wing for control of civilized society’s leftovers. Housed in small settlements that pepper the wasteland, the survivors of the third world war struggle to rebuild amidst the scourge of sickness and disease and the constant threat of attack from the horrors that roam beyond their rudimentary borders.
But something much worse has risen from the toxic fog, a menace whose ferocity rivals the legendary wrath of Bloody Mary and her Revenant Clan. People say that this new menace is responsible for the Revenant Clan’s sudden disappearance, that Bloody Mary had finally met her match. Or maybe the reports of yellow-red eyes glaring from the darkness were all part of Griff’s mind games.
Thugs, pushers, gangsters, rapists, murderers; Detective Philip Makane thought he’d seen it all until he awoke on the morning of Easter Sunday 2015, to a world filled with bleeding rain, ravenous zombies, a homicidal ghost, and the sudden arrival of two men with extraordinary powers who both claim to be Jesus Christ in the flesh.
“Andre Duza is one of the most exciting new voices in horror fiction. His prose hits like a fist full of razor blades. Get in line early and enjoy the hell out of the ride.” –Brian Keene, Bestselling Author of The Rising and Terminal
“Andre Duza is a new writer who’s serving notice: he’s not going to be afraid to take risks. Count on him for ideas to make you think and images to disturb your sleep.” –Thomas F. Monteleone
“Unique and aggressive… Duza’s narrative style has me hooked!” –Travis Adkins, author of Twilight of the Dead
“Quite possibly the most underrated new author on the scene today.” -Horror Fiction Review
Step into a world filled with racist teenagers, masked assassins, cannibals, a telekinetic hitman, 100 warped Uncle Sams, automobiles with razor-sharp teeth, living graffiti, cartoons that walk and talk, a steroid-addicted pro-athlete, an angry black chic, a washed-up Barbara Walters clone, the threat of a war to end all wars, and a pissed-off zombie bitch out for revenge.
When the police finally capture the number one suspect in the Bloody Mary Murders, a single-mother named Natasha Armstrong, nobody believes her story about her twelve-year search for the real killer, a murderous walking corpse who has no eyes but can still see, who moves like a bad stop-motion incarnation, but does so with ethereal grace. Nobody believes her when she tells them about all the bodies, or the people they used as game for the military-style obstacle courses that Bloody Mary and her soldiers, a ragtag group made up mostly of runaways, would build wherever they’d settle in any given town to recruit more soldiers and prepare for the end of civilization as we know it.
“One cannot read Andre Duza without wondering if boundaries or taboos are a part of his vocabulary. In Dead Bitch Army, Duza sends readers into a dimension without walls, a world where we cease to worry about crossing lines. Shocking… disturbing… but oh so entertaining and well worth our attention.” — John Paul Allen (author, Gifted Trust)
